What Happens When You Make A Negroni With Calvados? Good Things

I’m generally not very good at naming things. But every now and then, inspiration strikes. And strike it did on a frigid evening in Louisville a few months ago, when I had one of the greatest cocktails of my life. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you… the Calvagroni.

I didn’t invent it or anything. And really, it’s just a spin on an already-existing (though not particularly well-known spin) on the Negroni, which substitutes Calvados for gin. But this particular Calvagroni had never, I suspect, been prepared in this exact fashion anywhere in the known universe. And the credit for dreaming it up goes to the great Jordan Morris of Rolling Fork Spirits — I hedged on crediting him in the article I wrote about it for Alcohol Professor because, in all honesty, I was a wee bit tipsy and my memory of the event was just a touch foggy.

Anyway, you can read all about the historic cocktail and even get instructions for making a fine facsimile of it at home. The link is -> HERE <-.
